There are plenty of theme bars in and around the city of Prague, but none of them take their theme to the maximum as much as U Sedmi Svabu Medieval Tavern does.  As the name implies, this is a medieval bar and it’s in the perfect location too since U Sedmi Svabu lies in the foothills of Prague Castle.

Once inside this wonderful middle ages tavern you’ll find stone archways, suits of armor, all-wood tables, crests, and pretty much everything else you can think of that looks medieval.  Even better than this, you’ll also fine plenty of hot, steaming Czech food that’s reminiscent of the middle ages.

The food is served by maidens dressed in medieval garb and the menu selections they serve up include roasts, goulash, fish, thick soups, and vegetarian choices.  In addition to the delicious food, you will also find beer and mead on the menu so you can drink while eating or just enjoy the alcohol by itself.

Because U Sedmi Svabu is heavily themed, don’t be expecting to find any kind of dance floor or club atmosphere.  This place is purely about providing people with great food, excellent beer, and authentic scenery where visitors can really enjoy themselves.
