Studio 54 is an after hours club in downtown Prague. It is one of the only clubs of its kind near the center of the city, ensuring that it is always full of young, wild partygoers. Studio 54 is not a club for the faint of heart, but only for true partiers who want to carry the celebration into the next day. This place opens its doors every morning at 05:00 to welcome partiers as the other clubs in the city are closing their doors for the night. The party at Studio 54 lasts late into the afternoon, then its young clientele finally head home to recharge for another night on the town.
Studio 54 is mainly a locals club, despite its proximity to the tourist rich center of Old Town Prague. Tourists rarely extend their nights on the town into the early morning, leaving this hottest of clubs to the local Prague youth. The local youth typically find their way to Studio 54 after an evening shift at work, or before an early morning shift. Most of the clientele work as employees at other clubs in the area, who flock to Studio 54 after the end of their shifts in order to get their own turn on the dance floor.
The dancing and drinking at Studio 54 is fueled by hip, dance music performed by live DJs. Part of the entertainment of the live DJ’s is the fact that they interact with the crowd and keep everyone involved in the party. The music of Studio 54 has gained a large international following due to its unique, distinctly young, sound.
On certain nights, Studio 54 hosts live performances of local bands. If a band is expected to draw a large crowd, the club opens its doors early at 21:00.
