Good Fast and Cheap
People often speak of the idea that there are generally three things you want when trying to make something happen: you want it to be good, fast and cheap. However, they also say that the truth is that you can only have two of these things exist at once and that you cannot have the third. For instance, if you are remodeling your kitchen, it can be good and fast, but it won’t be cheap. Or, it can be fast and cheap, but it won’t be good. Or, it can even be good and cheap, but it won’t be fast. You can imagine how you could apply this theory to nearly anything.

Spectacular Sports Activities in Prague
Many people know Prague, Czech Republic as one of the most visually appealing and unique cities in Europe. Its gothic-style building structures and plentiful castles give the city a feel that few others in the world have. But what many people don’t realize about Prague is that it is home to many different sports activities that visitors and natives can enjoy alike.
Some of Prague’s favorite sports pastimes are common around the world while others are a little more indigenous to the tastes of the city itself. With this in mind, let’s take a glance at some of the most popular sporting activities in Prague.
More Information
Horseback Riding
One of the first things that anybody who is near Prague will notice is the breathtaking countryside outside of the city. Forests, old villages, and medieval castles await those who choose to tour this area. And there is certainly no better way to travel around the Prague countryside than on horseback. Luckily, there are plenty of stables and instructors for those who would like to enjoy the pleasure of horseback riding throughout the Czech hills outside of Prague. Places such as Tenerife Stables and Velkostatek Tetin Equestrian Center offer some great lessons for those who are new to the sport of horseback riding and they cater to children and adults alike.
Taking part in horse rides through a stable are a safe and interesting introduction to the activity and the scenic tours they offer are just an added bonus to the overall experience.

Hunting
Hunting is pretty much a tradition in any area as you’ll find hunters just about everywhere you go. However, what attracts people to hunting around the Prague area so much is the rituals and respects shown by Czech hunters. They adhere to a word known as “myslivost” which means thoughtful management.
Czech hunters go beyond the typical landscaping that is common to help keep the populations of animals up and in well-being. Czechs commonly make sure the wildlife is fed which goes beyond just the sport of hunting.
Also, hunting in the Prague area caters not only to the wealthy, as in some countries, but to the common man as well. The city owns thousands of acres of land and this provides opportunities for anyone to go hunting.
And for pure hunting fans, the area also provides a magnificent exhibit to explore in the late Archduke Franz Ferdinand’s castle, Konopiste. While hunting is prohibited on the actual grounds, there are plenty of mounted trophies from Ferdinand’s hunting days in bears, wild boars, deer, and birds of prey. It is reported that the Archduke claimed more than 300,000 animals during his sporting days, making him one of the best hunters of all time.

Golf
Though golf may have originated in Scotland many centuries ago, it has certainly made its way towards the Czech Republic. In fact, the country was even voted the “Undiscovered golf destination of the year 2007” by International Golf Travel Market. And a lot of the thanks for this billing can be attributed to the golf scene in Prague.
What separates Prague golfing from other destinations in the world is the spectacular scenery on the courses which sometimes includes ancient castles. Karlstejn Golf Resort is one such place as it is set near the base of the fascinating Karlstejn Castle. Most of the holes provide a great look at the castle which brings major character to this course.
Golf Park Pilsen is another fantastic looking course as it lies on the Klabava river and near Ejpovice lake. This is one of the newer courses near Prague and all of its 18 holes provide beautiful views of woodlands and hills spanning across the property.
For those looking for a challenge, there’s the Ypsilon Golf Club. It was designed by a British architect by the name of Keith Preston and was carefully designed to provide a professional-type golf experience. Speaking of which, it is also said that plans are in the works for some major professional events to be held at Ypsilon in the future. This course is farther away from Prague but well worth the drive for hardcore golf enthusiasts.

Go-Karting
For people who aren’t professional racecar drivers, or aren’t those who risk getting busted by living their racing dreams out on the highway, there is the sport of go-karting. And Prague is no stranger to the go-karting scene either as there are many places in the city for people to enjoy racing around the track.
Kart Areal is one such place as it features a very spacious indoor arena for people to go-kart around complete with safety bumpers and racing equipment for anyone who races here. There is also a nice sports bar to indulge yourself in afterwards.
Kart Klub Letnany is another premier go-kart venue in Prague as its heat-tempered track is geared for some prime-time racing. It also has tires and barriers that are specially made for go-kart racing.
Kart Centrum and Kart Klub are two other great go-karting places that ensure enthusiasts of the sport will have plenty of variety to choose from when they go racing in Prague.

Football
Lying in the heart of Europe, it's no surprise that football is huge in Prague. It is big from the youth leagues all the way up to the professional ranks in the city. Many football fields can be found across Prague and kids will always be seen kicking the ball around them. Even adults like to take some shots at the goal through company sponsored leagues or just pick-up games.
But the true passion of Prague football lies with its pro teams. Playing in Gambrinus liga, or the Czech football premier league, Sparta Prague and Slavia Prague are year-in and year-out considered two of the top teams in the league. Both teams have won numerous league titles (although not all Gambrinus liga titles) and consistently do well in the European tournaments too.
The Prague fans of these teams are very passionate about the sport and show up in large numbers to watch their favorite teams play. With such a broad interest for football in the city of Prague, it is no wonder why this love of the game extends to the successful pro teams that the city has.

Paintball
Paintball is a sport that has taken many cities in the world by storm and Prague is no exception. Its combat-oriented style of play gives people the feeling of being in a real battle. Paintball typically involves two teams armed with gas-compressed guns trying to shoot each other with breakable paintballs either in an effort to eliminate all opposing players or to capture a flag.
The sport has become increasingly popular over the last decade and only looks to grow in the future. Due to its popularity, many indoor and outdoor venues have popped up in the city for paintballers to experience the sport they love.
And what is so interesting about the paintball facilities in Prague is that some of them give the feel of an actual war zone. For instance, there’s Prague Indoor Paintball which sees its games played out in a former cold war, anti-nuke bunker. The atmosphere is almost chilling as one travels through the debilitated halls of this building trying to avoid being nailed with paintballs.
There’s also Paintball Island which is a facility located on an island called Cisarska louka. This place has three different outdoor fields and they are all set up in a different fashion. The first field is an old town complete with houses and other barriers which provide cover. The second field is created in the vision of a military combat zone and the third field is more for pure sporting paintball as it features inflatable barriers.
Places like Paintball Island and Prague Indoor Paintball will ensure that anyone in Prague with paintball desires will be satisfied.
