Good Fast and Cheap
People often speak of the idea that there are generally three things you want when trying to make something happen: you want it to be good, fast and cheap. However, they also say that the truth is that you can only have two of these things exist at once and that you cannot have the third. For instance, if you are remodeling your kitchen, it can be good and fast, but it won’t be cheap. Or, it can be fast and cheap, but it won’t be good. Or, it can even be good and cheap, but it won’t be fast. You can imagine how you could apply this theory to nearly anything.

If you're gay and find yourself in Prague, you've lucked out. There are several different clubs and bars that cater to the gay and lesbian community. Below are five of the best gay nightclubs that the city has to offer.
Drake's
http://www.drakes.cz/
Hours of operation: 24 hours
Cover: None if you're under 25, 190 KC per day if you're over 25
How to get there: Trams 23, 22, 12, 9 or 6 to Ujezd
Address: Zborovska 50, Prague 5
Phone number: 257 710 462
Hailed as “The Playground for Men”, Drake's certainly lives up to the hype that surrounds it. This is one place that truly has it all, from a porno maze to relaxation rooms and the largest play dungeon in all of Europe. With two floors, fetish nights and free drinks for those who get naked, people who party at Drake's are sure to have fun. As an added bonus, on Sundays there's a free buffet!
Owned by a famous gay porn director, Drake's regularly sponsors themed parties that are guaranteed to get wild. While the drinks tend to be on the pricey side, the overall experience tends to be well worth the extra cash. For tourists (and locals!) looking to get a little crazy in the city, Drake's is really the best club to hit.
Friends
http://www.friends-prague.cz/
Hours of operation: 6pm to 4am
Cover: None
How to get there: Tram 18, 17 or Metro B to Narodni divadlo
Address: Barolomejska 11, Prague 1
Phone number: 224 236 772
Friends is definitely a club in Prague that you can meet new and interesting people in. This is probably due to the fact that Friends is located in a huge Gothic cellar in the middle of the city. There's always different things going on, from Black and White parties to Doubles Night and Greek Night. Besides sporting great drink specials, Friends also has free wireless. During the day, patrons can have some coffee and catch up on their work. At night, the club comes alive!
Those who don't speak many languages will be happy to hear plenty of English, thanks to the American management. People who identify themselves as gay-friendly but straight will also have a great time, as there's more to Friends than just a great gay scene. The sound system is superb, the ventilation system ensures that non-smokers can breathe easy and the party is usually in full swing by 10pm
Piano Bar
http://www.sweb.cz/pianobar/
Hours of operation: 5pm to whenever the crowd leaves
Cover: None on most nights
How to get there: Tram 11 or Metro A to Jiriho z Podebrad
Address: Milesovska 10, Prague 3
Phone number: 226 275 467
What's most unique about Piano Bar is the retro vibe it gives off. Certainly a throwback to what gay clubs of the 50s must have been like, it's a classy joint for discriminating homosexuals who don't want to see hairy men clad in assless chaps whenever they turn around. Piano Bar exemplifies the gay culture found in Prague, which is quickly becoming one of the premier gay-friendly cities in the world.
In fact, it's estimated that more than 600,000 gay people flock to Prague each year. While Piano Bar may not be a great place to find glory hole action, it is a great place to get a decent martini and have an uninterrupted conversation. There are also the standard bar games, like pool, to be taken advantage of. As always, the piano is usually the center of attention and all who know how to play are welcome to take a seat and entertain everyone.
The Saints
http://www.praguesaints.cz/
Hours of operation: 7pm to 4am
Cover: None if you're under 25, 190 KC per day if you're over 25
How to get there: Tram 11 to Vinohradska trznice or Metro A to Jiriho z Podebrad
Address: Polska 32, Prague 2
Phone number: 222 250 326
The Saints is one of the few British owned gay clubs in Prague. Located in close proximity to several other gay bars and clubs in the trendy gay quarter of Vinohrady, it's a perfect place to kick off (or end!) a night of bar hopping. Although the place is smaller than some of the other gay clubs in the area, what it lacks in space it makes up for with great service and drinks that are second to none. The staff is a mix of English, Slovak, Australian, Greek, Ukranian and American, so there will always be somebody to talk to.
It seems as though the whole goal of The Saints is to make tourists feel welcome. During the day, employees like David lead English speaking tours of the best of Prague. At night, vacationers can take a walk on the wilder side by taking the Nightlife Tour, which includes a slew of local clubs. The bar's specialty drink, a must-have that is found only at The Saints, is the Saint and Sinner Shot.
Club Termix
http://www.club-termix.cz
Hours of operation: 9pm to 5am, Wednesday through Sunday
Cover: Never a cover
How to get there: Trams 23, 22, 12, 9 or 6 to Ujezd or Metro A to Jiriho z Podebrad
Address: Trebizskeho 4a, Prague 2
Phone number: 222 710 462
While many clubs in Prague cater exclusively to gay men, Club Termix has something to offer everyone who identifies as homosexual, including lesbians. Truly something special, the interior is unlike anything many club hoppers have ever seen before. There are records hanging from the ceiling and a car literally coming out of the wall, perfectly accentuated with colored lighting.
The seating ranges from cozy leather couches to modern chairs with pencil thin legs scattered around small bistro tables. Of course, there are also plenty of traditional bar stools for those who prefer to be as close to the booze as possible. Speaking of booze, Club Termix has a fantastic selection. Patrons can choose from a wide variety of both wine and liquor selections. For those who find themselves lonely on their vacation, the Club Termix website has a message board filled with gay people looking to hook up.
