Good Fast and Cheap
People often speak of the idea that there are generally three things you want when trying to make something happen: you want it to be good, fast and cheap. However, they also say that the truth is that you can only have two of these things exist at once and that you cannot have the third. For instance, if you are remodeling your kitchen, it can be good and fast, but it won’t be cheap. Or, it can be fast and cheap, but it won’t be good. Or, it can even be good and cheap, but it won’t be fast. You can imagine how you could apply this theory to nearly anything.

Cinemas in Prague
Visiting the cinemas in Prague is a great way to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. Czech residents value the importance of catching a good flick, and there are plenty of ways to do it – from visiting a posh, state-of-the-art theatre to checking out an outdoor screening in the summertime. Below are just a few places to get a taste of some popular European movie showings.
More Information
Kino Aero
As the largest art-house style cinema in the Czech Republic, Aero is masterful at presenting European films. However, what sets them apart is their ability to screen movies from various cultures, as well as hosting retrospective tributes to some of the world’s greatest filmmakers. Occasionally, a director will personally visit the Aero theatre for a question and answer time.

Due to their diverse and hip selection of cinema, Aero has always drawn a young crowd, especially cultured university students who take advantage of the meeting space to discuss both local and international films, and enjoy other events such as concerts and dance performances. The theatre also has a bar and photo gallery near the entrance, making it a perfect spot to meet and mingle.

You can find Kino Aero at Biskupcova 31, Prague 3. Get there by taking Metro Želivského (Line A). Feel free to visit their official website, www.kinoaero.cz for accurate hours and show information.

Strelecky ostrov Summer Cinema

Literally located on an island in the Vitava river, Strelecky ostrov features summer programs for students as well as special events for theatre goers. Air-conditioned and situated in the middle of one of Prague’s most modern malls, you can find Palace Cinemas at Veselska 663, Praha 9.
Take the Metro Ladvi to get to the movies and various shopping destinations quickly. You can also visit the mall’s official website, www.oc-letnany.cz for seasonal hours and other pertinent information.
Palace Cinemas is proud to host five other theatres around the Czech Republic, and Novy Smichov is one notable.
