People often speak of the idea that there are generally three things you want when trying to make something happen: you want it to be good, fast and cheap. However, they also say that the truth is that you can only have two of these things exist at once and that you cannot have the third. For instance, if you are remodeling your kitchen, it can be good and fast, but it won’t be cheap. Or, it can be fast and cheap, but it won’t be good. Ambiente Brasileiro
Local cuisine is not all you will find in the many restaurants around Prague. One of those unique restaurants is the Ambiente Brasileiro. This eatery will make you feel as if you have jumped off of the streets of Prague straight into an authentic Brazilian restaurant. That is because you will not only find Brazilian cuisine, but you will also find a wait staff that is constantly making sure your visit is a memorable one. Whether it is the waiter placing slices of fresh meat upon your plate or you enjoying the magnificent atmosphere, this is a restaurant that must be considered when you are visiting Prague.You can find the Ambiente Brasileiro at Slovanský Dům, Na Příkopě 22, Staré Město. To get there, you can choose to take a cab, a bus, or the subway. It more or less depends on where you are in Prague when determining which mode of transportation is going to be best. But no matter which mode you choose, you’re going to be very surprised when you arrive. Just make sure that you arrive during business hours, which are 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM daily.
Once there and seated at your table, you will notice that there are two colorful discs in front of you. The green disc tells the waiter that you want them to slice more fresh beef, ham, pork, chicken, or fish onto your plate. The red disc tells them that you can’t take any more. However, the waiters will sometimes ignore the red plate and give you a little more anyway. That’s if you haven’t filled yourself up on the pastas and salads that are available on their magnificent buffet. The food gives you that perfect South American feel and you most certainly feel it in your stomach for up to an hour after you have eaten it, but it is well worth it.
Just be sure that when you’re visiting you do not mistake one of the other Brazilian style restaurants with the Ambiente Brasileiro. This one is located behind the Staromestske Namesti. There is no admission or cover charge for you to eat at this establishment. The only cost you have to pay is the cost of your food, which can range anywhere from 400 to 800 CKZ. Payment methods include Visa, MasterCard, EuroCard, American Express, and local currency. Dress is smart casual, so you don’t have to be in your finest evening clothes to enjoy the cuisine.
